Marlin Bollenbacher
Marlin "Jiggs" Bollenbacher, 87, 8690 Burrville Road, Celina, died at 2:35 a.m. Jan. 19, 2009, at the Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford.
He was born April 19, 1921, in Rockford, to Edwin and Edna Koeppel Bollenbacher. On July 28, 1945, he married Betty High, who survives.
Other survivors are three sons, Daniel (Kathy), Minster, Charles (Pam), Rockford, and David (Irene), St. Henry; a daughter, Karen (Richard) LeFave, Hayden Lake, Idaho; a brother, Ford (Gretchen), Rockford; a sister, Betty (Roland) Drey, Prescott, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Gene and Darlene Allen; and a sister, Delores Winget.
He was a retired farmer and a member of the Celina American Legion and Rockford Eagles. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in World War II.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Michael Berne officiating. Burial is at Riverside Cemetery, Rockford. Military rites are 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina.
