Alfred Broerman
Alfred M. Broerman, 75, 08500 New Bremen-New Knoxville Road, New Bremen, died at 10:37 a.m. Feb. 6, 2009, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
He was born May 28, 1933, in Fort Loramie, to Fred and Christine Spoltman Broerman. On June 9, 1956, he married Patricia Hartings who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Jeffrey (Denise) of Lakeview, and Robert of New Bremen; two daughters, Debra (Kent) Stiger, Pittsburgh, Pa., and Susan (John) Borchers, Troy; two brothers, Frank (Marlene) of Tipp City and Carl (Roseann) of Fort Loramie; a sister, Dorothy (Joseph) Wuebker, Minster; and three grandchildren.
Two brothers, Lawrence and Leo, and two sisters, Louise Shadley and Alvera Arling, are deceased.
He owned and operated Broerman Trucking of New Bremen and was engaged in farming. He was a 1951 graduate of Fort Loramie High School.
Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home, New Bremen, the Rev. Thomas Mannebach officiating. Burial will follow at German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
