Close call in Rockford
Photo by Janie Southard/The Daily Standard

Marty Mills Lentz winters in Texas so she wasn't home when two big pine trees fell on her Rockford home during Wednesday night's windstorm. The village-owned trees were cleared away Thursday evening. Lentz's son-in-law Don Puthoff, above, of St. Marys observed the trees "fell soft" as he saw little damage to the interior of the home.
