William Greber
Former New Bremen resident William M. Greber, 73, died at 3:25 p.m. Jan. 26, 2009, at Hanover Rehabilitation Center, Mechanicsville, Va.
He was born Oct. 30, 1935, in New Bremen to Henry and Carrie Roettger Greber. His wife, Mary, survives.
  Other survivors are four children, Adrian Greber, Stanley, Va., Michael Greber, Deborah Greber and Kristie Greber, all of Tappahannock, Va.; a sister, Donna (Bill) Conradi, New Bremen; and five grandchildren.
Deceased are three brothers, Adrian, Milford and Henry Greber Jr.; and a sister, Carol Vogan.
He was a member of the Family History Center at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints, Tappahannock, and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Services were held Jan. 29, 2009, at the church, the Branch President, Pat DeSpirito officiating. Burial, with military honors, was at Essex Cemetery, Tappahannock.
Arrangements were handled by Marks-Bristow Funeral Home, Tappahannock, Va.
