Deborah Snider
Deborah Marie "DoeDoe" Snider, 52, of Rockford, died at 8:25 a.m. May 10, 2009, at Roselawn Nursing Home. Death was due to brain cancer.
She was born Jan. 10, 1957, in Lima, to Paul and Angela Etzkorn Vulgamott. Her mother survives in Delphos. On Dec. 31, 1991, she married Mark Snider, who survives.
Other survivors include a son, Ryan (Amber) Pohlman, Delphos; a daughter, Katie Pohlman (fiancé Dwayne Harris), Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a sister, Tina (Brian) Dennis, Lima; a brother, Michael (Jeannie) Vulgamott, Landeck; father and mother-in-law, Melvin and Jeannine Snider, Lima; and a brother-in-law, Keith Snider, Lima.
Deceased are grandparents, George and Winifred Vulgamott and Clarence and Esther Etzkorn.
She was a nurse at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, and previously worked as a nurse and manager at Delphos Ambulatory and various physician offices in the Lima area. She was a 1975 graduate of Delphos Jefferson High School and a graduate of Apollo School of Nursing. She was a member of the Licensed Practical Nurses Association and St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Landeck. She was a volunteer clown for the Spencerville Veterans of Foreign Wars Clown Corporation and a member of the VFW and the American Legion, both in Spencerville.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. John Fleck officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 6-9 p.m. today and 1-4 and 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Spencerville. A parish wake service will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday and a joint memorial service will be conducted by the VFW and American Legion Auxiliaries at 9 p.m. Tuesday.
Contributions can be made to the VFW Clown Unit, Spencerville, or the American Cancer Society.
