Kenneth Colson
Kenneth E. Colson, 83, of Medina died at 2:30 p.m. June 10, 2009.
He born Nov. 8, 1925 in Celina, to James and Otha Yaney Colson. On Feb. 25, 1956, he married Jan Mullen, who survives.
Other survivors are his children, Rhonda Seeley, Cambridge, Holly (Greg) Fawcett, Medina, Jim Colson, Columbus, Kathy Carpenter, Medina, and Adele (Steve) Henderson, Wadsworth; a sister Bernice (Paul) Huston, Celina; a brother, Elmer Colson, Celina; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Deceased are four brothers, Virgil, Arlen, Lester and John Colson; and a son-in-law Fred "Carp" Carpenter; in-laws, Edward and Lela Mullen of Delphos; a brother-in-law, Al (Mary) Placke.
He was a lineman for GTE for many years and retired in 1987. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II where he was stationed on Saipan.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Medina United Church of Christ Congregational, followed by a military tribute and an informal gathering.
