Flags flutter at the Church of the Holy Redeemer in New Bremen on Thursday night as family and friends of Master Sgt. Brian K. Naseman gather for a memorial Mass. The New Bremen American Legion conducted military rites prior to the service with a celebration of the soldier's life planned from 1-4 p.m. Sunday at the Legion. Naseman, a former New Bremen resident, died May 22 of injuries received in a noncombat-related incident in Iraq, where he was serving with the Wisconsin Army National Guard.
