Lots of good buys at Zuma Days
Photo by Betty Lawrence/The Daily Standard

Humid, steamy temperatures did not dampen the enthusiasm of the auction crowd at Friday's kickoff of Zuma Days in Montezuma. Auction-goer Donna Heaney of Englewood checks out some of the items up for bid. Jack Thein of Bass Landing was one of the first people to get a bidding number Friday. "I look forward to this auction all year. It's a lot of fun because everyone knows everyone else and the money goes towards a great cause," Thein said. The auction is one of Zuma Day's biggest fundraisers, park board member Vicky Kramer said. Zuma Days continues today with mud volleyball, kiddie tractor pull, rides, games, refreshment stands and live entertainment. All proceeds benefit Zuma Park.
