Southerly winds will increase today ahead of an approaching cold front. Sustained winds of 15 to 25 mph can be expected with gusts of 35 to 45 mph at times this afternoon. Be sure to secure outdoor objects.

Michael Bollenbacher
Michael C. Bollenbacher, age 60, 871 Heitkamp Road, Minster, died at 7:20 p.m. July 12, 2009, at his home. Death was due to natural causes.
He was born Feb. 12, 1949, in Celina to Ferdinand and Melba Smitley Bollenbacher. On Sept. 16, 1972, he married Joan Thobe, who survives.
Other survivors are his children, Kimberly (Brian) Prenger, Tipp City; Toby Bollenbacher, David Bollenbacher, Steve Bollenbacher and Mick Bollenbacher, all of Cincinnati; two sisters, Ilene (Leroy) Limbert, Fryburg, and Cheryl (Tony) Grider, Lawton, Okla.; and two grandchildren.
Deceased are an infant brother, Patrick; and a stepfather, Leroy Overman.
He worked for 35 years at the Dannon Company in Minster. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Maria Stein, and served in the Marine Corps during Vietnam War, where he received the Purple Heart.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Maria Stein, the Rev. Gene Schnipke officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
