All jammed up
Photo by Mark Pummell/The Daily Standard

Crews from the Mercer County Engineer's office work on a massive log jam along the St. Marys River in Mendon. One long-time engineer described the congested 150-yard section of fallen trees as the worst log jam he's ever seen locally. The work began Tuesday morning and is expected to continue until the debris is removed and the water is once again flowing freely.
