* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Mercer County in west central Ohio...
* WHEN...Until 630 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 247 AM EDT, radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Celina, Coldwater, St. Henry, Fort Recovery, Rockford, Wabash, Mendon, Chickasaw, Montezuma, Tama, Carthagena, Neptune, Chattanooga and Maria Stein.

Kids learn around town

School is in full swing throughout the Grand Lake area, with many students participating in special activities and field trips. Students at the Mercer County Educational Service Center Preschool spent Thursday touring sites in Celina, including the post office and fire department. Celina firefighter/paramedic Adam Schroyer helps Eduardo Cervantes spray water to make a cutout fire hydrant spin behind the fire department.
