* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Consecutive days of excessive heat and humidity can be especially hazardous as warm overnight temperatures will provide little relief. The heat may continue into Thursday.

Dorothy Stienecker
Dorothy M. Stienecker, 92, formerly of New Knoxville and St. Marys, died Oct. 6, 2009, at the home of her son in Desert Hot Springs, Calif.
She was born north of New Knoxville on May 5, 1917, to William and Sarah Clausing Stolte. On Jan. 26, 1938, she married Reuben Stienecker, who died in January 1981.
Surviving are two sons, Russell (Lucy) Stienecker, Desert Hot Springs, and Craig (Cindy) Stienecker, Roswell, Ga.; a sister, Charlene Rasmussen, West Covina, Calif; three grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Deceased are two brothers, Robert and Forest Stolte; and a grandson.
She retired from the former Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, St. Marys, where she had worked for 27 years. She was a member of the First United Church of Christ, New Knoxville.
Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. David Williams officiating. Burial is at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, New Knoxville.
Calling is one hour prior to services at the church.
Contributions can be made to the Radio Broadcast Fund of the church.
Arrangements are being handled by Vornholt-Miller Funeral Home, New Knoxville.
