Light snow is expected to develop across the area after midnight, shifting to the southeast through the predawn hours. This band of light snow will affect the Tri-State region by the Thursday morning commute, eventually pushing south of the area by mid- morning.
Minor snow accumulations of less than an inch are expected, but cold ground conditions will allow for quick accumulation on any untreated surfaces. The main impacts are expected to be reduced visibilities and some slick spots on untreated surfaces.
Motorists should exercise caution. Plan extra time for the Thursday morning commute.

Clementine Schmackers
Clementine "Teen" Mary Schmackers, 91, of St. Henry, died Oct. 14, 2009, at The Gardens at St. Henry.
She was born April 24, 1918, in St. Wendelin to Henry J. and Bernadine Post Stachler. On Oct. 12, 1940, she married Louis Andrew Schmackers, who died Sept. 1, 1984.
Surviving are six children, Jerry (Janet) Schmackers, Maria Stein, Bernice Workman, Galena, Paul (Marilyn) Schmackers, Cairo, Harold (Vicki) Schmackers, Celina, Elmer (Beth) Schmackers, Troy, and Lester (Sue) Schmackers, New Bremen; two sons-in-law, Glenn (Renee) Franck, New Carlisle, and Ken (Barbara) Wenning, Minster; 30 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Deceased are two daughters, Marceil Wenning and Lois Franck-Brown; a son-in-law, Garth Workman; four brothers, Ray, Ed, Clarence and Gregory Stachler; and a sister, Leona Schwieterman.
She retired from the former Huffy Bicycle Plant in Celina and was a wallpaper hanger for 50 years. She was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church, the Christian Mothers Sodality and the funeral choir. She was past president of Coldwater Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary and past president of St. Henry American Legion Auxiliary. She also was a member of Mercer County Council on Aging, Celina Senior Citizens and Sunshine Singers and volunteered at Mercer County Community Hospital, Maria Stein Spiritual Center and area nursing homes. She received a number of awards, including Mercer County Outstanding Senior Citizen in 1991, senior citizen of the month and the American Red Cross Clara Barton Personal Achievement Award in 1999.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Benedict Magabe officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday and 8:30-9:30 a.m. Saturday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.
