* WHERE...St. Marys River at Rockford.
* WHEN...Until this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, State Route 117 near Route 118 north of Rockford is water-covered and closed.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:40 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall slowly this afternoon, falling below flood stage later this evening. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Gary James
Gary W. James, 62, of 14601 Koenig Road in St.Marys, died 7:40 a.m. Oct. 28, 2009, at his residence, following an brief illness. Death was due to natural causes.
He was born October 27, 1947, in Celina to William "Jesse" and Evelyn (Suchland) James. On Nov. 8, 1969, he married Karen "Kate" S. Raymond, who survives.
Other survivors are four daughters Jennifer (Jerry) Lucas, Julie (Jeff) Speckman, Kara (Dave) Birt, all of St. Marys, and Jeanna (Dewayne) Godby, Mansfield; a son, Gary "Bub" (Leslie) James; three brothers, Jim James, Batavia, Dennis James and Jeff (Julie) James, all of St. Marys; a sister, Peg (Sam) Key, St. Marys; a stepmother-in-law, Ruth Raymond, St. Marys; and 10 grandchildren.
He retired from the former Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, St. Marys, where he was a supervisor and area manager. Following retirement, he worked at Pak-A-Sak and Certified Oil Co. (West), both in St. Marys. He was a1965 graduate of Memorial High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, having served during the Viet Nam era. He attended St. Paul's United Church of Christ, St.Marys, and was a member of the American Legion, Buckeye Crappie Challenge Tournament Trail and St.Marys Bassmasters.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Dr. Ed Bray, officiating. Burial, with graveside military rites, will follow at the Elm Grove Cemetery, St.Marys.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday at the Miller Funeral Home and Cremation Service, St. Marys, and after 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.
