Marilyn Jones
Marilyn L. Jones, 83, 325 N. Main St., St. Marys, died at 11:25 a.m. Jan. 8, 2010, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.
She was born April 20, 1926, in Shreve, to Clinton and Margaret Kelley McDermitt. On May 18, 1946, she married DeWitt Jones, who is deceased.
Surviving are four children, Robert (Sandy) Jones, Sharon (Charles) Schramm and Kristine (Terry) Wicker, all of St. Marys, and Bruce Jones, Hamilton; a brother, Melvin (Peggy) McDermitt, St. Marys; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Deceased are a son, Steven Jones; a daughter-in-law, Susan Jones; and a sister, Betty Rable.
Formerly employed by Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in St. Marys, she was a member of Wayne Street United Methodist Church, St. Marys. She was a Sunday school teacher, assisted in the nursery and was a member of the homemakers' class and the United Methodist Women organization of the church.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Steve Weatherly officiating. Burial is at Salem Township Cemetery.
Calling is 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
