* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Leo Hess
Leo J. Hess, 91, Carthagena, died at 1 p.m. Jan. 14, 2010 at Briarwood Village, Coldwater.
He was born May 25, 1918, in Carthagena, to Casper and Rosa Hoelscher Hess. On June 23, 1943, he married Viola Boeke, who died June 25, 1996.
Surviving are four sons, Carl (Eileen), Caledonia, Joseph (Ann), Carthagena, Lester (Sharon), Hilliard, and John (Rita), Dayton; three daughters, Rosemary (David) Dirksen, and Martha (Fred) Hoying, all of Madison, Ind., and Sr. Edna Hess, CPPS, Dayton; 22 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
Deceased are two sisters, six brothers, and a grandchild.
He was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, St. Lawrence Mens Sodality of the Church, a former choir member and a former school board member at the former Carthagena School as well as St. Henry schools.
He was a machinist at Monarch Machine in Sidney and Artisan Grinding in Dayton.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Tom Hemm officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-6 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
