Bruns is a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina, and its "Casseroles & Kindness" group, which prepares meals for people needing assistance. The members, who number about 50, often brings entire meals to shut-ins, new parents or families dealing with medical problems who might appreciate a home-cooked meal.
