Light snow showers will move across the region this evening and into the overnight. While accumulations are expected to be generally around an inch, the snow may cause some slick spots on roads, especially untreated ones, as well as bridges and overpasses.
Use extra caution if driving later this evening and allow extra time to reach your destination.

Parkway Middle School seventh-grader Grace Linn won the 2010 Mercer County spelling bee with the word "synthetically" Monday evening in the James F. Dicke Hall at Wright State University-Lake Campus. Second-place finisher, Olivia Hemmelgarn, a Marion Local eighth-grader, is seen in the background waiting her turn. It took the 21 contestants 13 rounds and 202 words to get to a champion. St. Henry eighth-grader Chase Hemmelgarn was third. The top three advance to the regional spelling competition March 20 in Lima.
