Survivors learn tips on looking, feeling well

Eyeliner, blush and lip-gloss are fun to talk about.
Radiation burns and hair loss are not.
On Monday night, six area women found a way to mix the topics, learn a little about make-up and share their journey with cancer.
"Now's the time to have fun," said Theresia Hedrick, one of two licensed cosmetologists who offered tips to participants of the first-ever "Look Good, Feel Better" session at the Grand Lake Regional Cancer Center in Celina. [More]

FORT RECOVERY - When Monday's St. Henry-Fort Recovery boys basketball game ended, one had to think that Paul Staugler was watching from above, with a grin on his face.
Staugler, the longtime voice of the Indians who passed away last year after a battle with cancer, was honored before the game as a public address system that was purchased through contributions from a memorial fund set up after his passing was dedicated in his honor. [More]

Students make angels for survivors
St. MARYS - There are 300 angels in the Tri Star building waiting to be given to area cancer survivors at the annual spring fundraising events in Auglaize and Mercer counties.
MARIA STEIN - Design work will commence shortly on Safe Routes to School projects, according to reports presented at the Marion Local Schools board of education meeting Monday.

COLDWATER - Village Manager-Engineer Eric Thomas reported village streets were looking "pretty good" after a weekend snowfall dumped more than seven inches of snow.
FORT RECOVERY - The way the teams played on Monday night, it was worth the wait for St. Henry and Fort Recovery to take the court in conference basketball action.
