Light snow will move across the region today. While accumulations are expected to be less than an inch, the snow may cause some slick areas on roads, especially untreated ones as well as bridges and overpasses. The snow will blow around easily and occasionally reduce visibility as well, as winds will gust to 20 to 25 MPH later today.
Use extra caution if driving late this morning into the afternoon and allow extra time to reach your destination.

Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) Bev Uhlenhake gives a physical exam to 8-year-old Hannah Steinbrunner in an office in St. Henry. The role of NPs - who are trained and certified to perform a broader range of duties than registered nurses - has become vital locally and across the country due to shortages of primary care physicians. Pending state legislation would add an NP's ability to prescribe Schedule II narcotics.
