New sewer main
Photo by Shelley Grieshop/The Daily Standard

Construction crews continue work on an estimated $2.2 million sanitary sewer system project along state Route 703 in East Jefferson Township on the north side of Grand Lake. The first phase of the project involves the construction of a new sewer main along the highway to divert sewage to the city of Celina for treatment. The second part will involve vacating the existing county-owned sewer plant in the nearby Northwood subdivision. The work involves approximately 130 property owners. Traffic is currently down to one lane at the location and is maintained by a temporary stop light.
