* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Edwin Oberlitner
Edwin Roy Oberlitner, 99, Hearth and Home, Van Wert, died at 4:50 p.m. April 10, 2010, at Van Wert Hospice-Inpatient Center.
He was born Nov. 10, 1910, in Deshler to Henry W. and Odessa Jane Smith Oberlitner. On Feb. 20, 1932, he married Florence Edna Miller, who died Nov. 27, 1997. He also married Lorene Dougal, who is deceased.
Surviving are three sons, John H. (Faye) Oberlitner, Polson, Mont., H. Gene (Jane) Oberlitner, Celina, and Clarence R. (Joan) Oberlitner, Ohio City; a daughter, Ruth E. (Richard) Schwartz, Fort Wayne, Ind.; 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, seven step great-grandchildren, and four step great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a son, Donald Lee Oberlitner; a brother, Michael Oberlitner; a sister, Ada Wilcox; a granddaughter, a step grandson, and a step great-great-granddaughter.
He farmed in York Township until he retired in 1978. He was a member of the Olive Branch Church of God and the Elgin United Brethren Church in Elgin. He was a director for the Midwest Electric REA and organized the Maumee Valley Polled Herford Association.
Services are 1 p.m. Friday at Cowen & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, the Rev. Randy Bevington officiating. Burial will be at Tomlinson Cemetery in Mendon.
Calling is 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
