During the early morning hours, winds will increase ahead of an approaching low pressure. Wind gusts of 30 to 40 mph are expected through the afternoon. Some gusts up to 45 mph are possible at times. Winds decrease during the evening hours but remain elevated in the 20 to 25 mph range. Properly secure outdoor objects and seasonal decorations.

Glendola Jewell
Former Mercer County resident Glendola P. Groth Jewell, 91, formerly of Fort Wayne, Ind., died April 25, 2010, in Green Bay, Wisc.
She was born Aug. 10, 1918, in Mercer County, to Henry and Anna Diener Groth. On June 6, 1943, she married Forrest G. Jewell, who survives in Green Bay, Wisc.
Also surviving are three daughters, Suzanne (the Rev. Dennis) Schatt, Green Bay, Luanne (James) Krantz, Rockport, Texas, and Linda (Max) Proffitt, Traverse City, Mich.; a sister, Thelma Hawk; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She graduated from Parkway High School and Bowling Green State University. She taught elementary grades in Rockford and the surrounding area. She also worked in the policy holders service for Lincoln National Life Insurance Company for 25 years, and was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne.
Services are 11 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial is at Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne.
Calling is 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Klaehn Funeral Home, Fort Wayne, and 10-11 a.m. Monday at the church.
Contributions can be made to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, or the Woodside Manor Retirement Communities in Green Bay.
