Mary Veronica Grieshop, 94, Chickasaw, died April 30, 2010, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Minster.

She was born July 4, 1915, in North Star, to Victor and Anna Mangan Barga. On May 1, 1943, she married Otto Grieshop, who died Nov. 14, 1984.

Surviving are five children, Charlotte (Art) Bruggeman, Maria Stein, Michael Grieshop, Lima, Joseph (Marjorie) Grieshop, Harlan, Ky., James (Kay) Grieshop, Decatur, Ind., and Francis (Donna) Grieshop, New Bremen; a sister, Luella Echemann, Sidney; two brothers, Brother Adrien Barga, Carthagena, and Duane (Lucy) Barga, North Star; three sisters-in-law, Melva Barga, North Star, Ella Mae Barga, Union City, and Dorothy Barga, North Star; 18 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Deceased are six brothers, the Rev. Louis Barga, Vitalis Barga, Eugene Barga, Vernon Barga, Othor Barga and Ivan Barga, and a sister, Thelma.

She was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church in Chickasaw.

Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial is at the church cemetery.

Calling is 1-6 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster.
