Gene Brackman
Gene L. Brackman, 71, Butler Township, died June 13, 2010, in Daytona Beach, Fla.
He was born Dec. 25, 1938, in Osgood, to William J. and Emily Holthaus Brackman. He married Barbara Rammel, who survives.
Also surviving is a son, Kirk (Jan) Brackman, Vandalia; a daughter, Angi (Chris) Coning, Tipp City; three sisters, Pauline (Jim) Barga, North Star, Norma (Don) Purcell, Potomac, Md., and Janice (Delbert) Dirksen, Versailles; two brothers, Vernon (Ruth) Brackman, Cassella, and Paul (Val) Brackman, DeBary, Fla.; and six grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother, Donald Brackman.
He was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church in Vandalia, and the Knights of Columbus, Marian Manor. He was a retired director of information systems with A.O. Smith Corporation.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Francis Keferl officiating. Burial will be at Polk Grove Cemetery in Englewood.
Calling is 4-7p.m. Sunday at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home in Vandalia.
