Judge imposes communitycontrol sanctions on Brett Riley, father of two

CELINA - Brett Riley of Celina held his breath in court this morning as he was sentenced to community control sanctions on charges of reckless homicide and possession of drugs stemming from the June 2009 death of his wife.
Riley was charged for purchasing and providing the drug that led to his wife's overdose and death. [More]

Counseling and other treatment methods prove more successful
Local officials this week approved contracts for juvenile offender counseling - a treatment that reportedly reduces incarceration and recidivism rates.
CELINA - Several alleys in Celina will be resurfaced this summer with work likely to begin two weeks before the Celina Lake Festival.
The $162,000 project will be paid through two grants.

A Celina man remains incarcerated in the Mercer County Adult Detention Center on a charge of having unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.
Jerry J. Miller, 18, 6670 state Route 219, is being held on a $125,000 bond pending a preliminary hearing 11:15 a.m. Friday in Celina Municipal Court.
