Lee Monroe
Lee "Minnie" Monroe, 83, Celina, died at 1:50 p.m. July 2, 2010, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
He was born May 17, 1927, in Celina, to Earl and Edith Garwood Monroe. On April 23, 1960, he married Doris Dwyer, who survives.
Also surviving is a stepson, Denny Davis; a daughter, Tonya (Bart) Walls, Rockford; two stepdaughters, Gwen (Les) Pickering, Dayton, Texas, and Terri (Mark) Doenges, New Bremen; a sister-in-law, Jeanie Campbell, West Chester; eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother, Bevan Monroe, and brother-in-law, Jim Campbell.
He worked at the City of Celina Power Plant and Van Wert City Schools. He was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church in Celina. He was an U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He also attended Celina City Schools.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Thursday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina. Burial is at Mercer Memory Garden, Celina.
Calling is noon until 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
