Fog will reduce visibilities this morning. Conditions will vary from location to location with locally dense fog in spots. Motorists should prepare for rapid changes in visibility and allow extra time to reach your intended destination. The fog is expected to improve by mid morning.

Esther Barr
Esther M. Barr, 91, formerly of Taylorville, Ill., died at 11:30 a.m. July 21, 2010, at Dorothy Love Retirement Community in Sidney, where she resided since 2001.
She was born Aug. 31, 1918, in New Knoxville, to Christ and Anna Elshoff Katterheinrich. On Feb. 21, 1943, she married Donald E. Barr, who is deceased.
Surviving is a daughter, Carol Barr, Decatur, Ill.; a son, Thomas (Karen) Barr, Costa Mesa, Calif.; a daughter-in-law, Toni (Stan) Wojcik; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a son, David Barr; two brothers, Emil Katterhenry and Arnold Katterhenry; and two sisters, Edna and Selma Katterheinrich.
She attended Bowling Green State University and graduated from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, Ill., with a bachelor's and master's of science. She taught at Defiance, Troy, Moro, Ill., and Hamel, Ill. She also played the piano and organ at several churches. She was a member of First United Church of Christ in New Knoxville.
Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Aug. 6 at the church, the Rev. David Williams officiating. Burial is at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery in New Knoxville.
Calling is 9:30-10:30 a.m. Aug. 6 at the church.
Memorials can be made to the Dorothy Love Life Care Center in Sidney or the radio broadcast fund at the First United Church of Christ in New Knoxville.
