During the early morning hours, winds will increase ahead of an approaching low pressure. Wind gusts of 30 to 40 mph are expected through the afternoon. Some gusts up to 45 mph are possible at times. Winds decrease during the evening hours but remain elevated in the 20 to 25 mph range. Properly secure outdoor objects and seasonal decorations.

Floyd Hecht
Floyd R. Hecht, 85, St. Marys, died at 12:02 a.m. Aug. 10, 2010, at his home.
He was born July 11, 1925, in St. Marys to Arthur and Ida Hehmyer Hecht. On June 10, 1945, he married Betty E. Taylor, who died June 18, 1998.
Surviving are three children, Richard (Susan) Hecht, Dora, Ala., Rebecca (Michael) Harvey, St. Marys, Roger (Merle) Hecht, Woodstock, Ga.; two sisters, Leona Schultz, St. Marys, and Esther Hecht, Bonita Springs, Fla.; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother, Carl Hecht; and a sister, Marcella Burkhart.
He was a lifelong farmer. He also was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in St. Marys.
Funeral rites are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. William Maki officiating. Burial is at Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home in St. Marys.
