* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

John Prendergast
John "Jack" Prendergast, 88, St. Marys, died at 8:15 p.m. Nov. 9, 2010, at the Golden Living Center in St. Marys.
He was born March 31, 1922, in Cincinnati to John and Ester Lumley Prendergast. On June 11, 1949, he married Helen Cromwell, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Joan (Jim) Frey, St. Marys, and Jane (Dennis) Prendergast-Meyer, Cincinnati; a sister, Jean Neidhart, Cincinnati; and a grandson.
Deceased is a daughter, Marcia Prendergast.
He was a graduate of the Ohio Mechanics Institute in Cincinnati. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served during World War II as a topographer. He retired from Minster Machine Company where he worked as a mechanical engineer. He was a member of the Wayne Street United Methodist Church in St. Marys.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Jon Kraner officiating. Burial with military honors is at Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Friday at Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home in St. Marys.
Memorial contributions may be made to Grand Lake Hospice or the children's department of the St. Marys Community Public Library.
