The city intends to purchase 50 acres off Meyer Road owned by Floyd and Joanne Heiby for $600,000. The land, annexed to the city several years ago, would be leased by Solar Vision of Westerville to construct a solar energy plant. The city also will use the land for new sludge ponds.
