Scattered snow showers can be expected this morning along with westerly winds gusting to around 40 mph at times. Temperatures will continue to fall this morning, with readings dropping well below freezing.
Snow accumulations will be a half inch or less. This will result in some slick spots on untreated surfaces as well as bridges and overpasses. Please allow for some extra time to reach your destination this morning. Be prepared for changing road conditions as well as gusty winds.

An arctic cold front will move quickly east across the region through daybreak. This will usher in a much colder airmass with temperatures quickly falling below freezing.
Snow showers can be expected this morning with snow accumulations of a half inch or less possible. This will combine with the falling temperatures to produce slick spots on untreated roadways. In addition, brisk west winds will gust to 25 to 35 mph at times this morning.
The morning commute will be affected by these conditions. Please allow for some extra time to reach your destination. Be prepared for slick spots, especially on bridges an overpasses.

Barbara Hoyng
Barbara A. Hoyng, 72, Fort Wayne, Ind., died Feb. 16, 2011, at her home.
She was born in Philothea to Bernard and Ruth Ahrns Schoenlein. Her father is deceased; her mother survives in St. Henry. She married Daniel Hoyng, who is deceased.
Also surviving are two sons, Jeffrey (Brenda) Hoyng, Yoder, Ind., and David (Karen) Hoyng, Abilene, Texas; a daughter, Theresa (Keith) Ehrman, Hoagland, Ind.; four sisters, Carolyn (Tom) Hoyng, Cynthia (Larry) Wenning and Debra (Dan) Hess, all of St. Henry, and Virginia (Larry) Rammel, Greenville; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Also deceased is a daughter, Judith Hoyng.
She was a member of St. Joseph Hessel Cassel Catholic Church, Fort Wayne, Ind.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Thomas Lombardi officiating.
Calling is 2-5 p.m. Sunday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, New Haven, with a rosary at 4:30 p.m., and 10-11 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the church.
