Scattered snow showers occurring across the area will slowly diminish through the evening. These snow showers will continue to cause brief reductions in visibility. In addition, as temperatures fall, the snow showers could produce a light coating of snow on roadways. This will result in the potential for some slick spots to develop. Motorists should be prepared for changing conditions this evening and exercise extra caution.

Rita Geckle
Rita Geckle, 55, Minster, died March 17, 2011, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.
She was born Jan. 9, 1956, in Napoleon to Clarence and Betty Jane Strawser Geckle. Her mother survives in Defiance. Her father is deceased.
Also surviving are eight siblings, Richard (Judy) Geckle, Continental, Bonnie Moore, Continental, Carolyn (Rick) Ludemann, Continental, Irene Geckle, Cloverdale, Lester Geckle, Lima, Norman (Julie) Geckle, Continental, Connie Geckle, Pandora, and Laura Stiles, Orange Park, Fla.
Also deceased are two brothers, Francis and Ronnie Geckle; a sister, Barbara Geckle; and a brother-in-law, Leroy Moore.
Funeral services are noon Tuesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster, the Rev. Brad Smith officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Monroe Cemetery in Continental.
Calling is 10 a.m.-noon Tuesday at the funeral home.
