Leona Amburgey
Leona Mae Amburgey, 81, Willshire, died at 2:10 p.m. March 24, 2011, at Colonial Nursing Center in Rockford.
She was born Nov. 23, 1929, in Chattanooga, to Roy and Goldie Bollenbacher Luginbill. On Dec. 25, 1958, she married Everette D. Amburgey, who died July 14, 1975.
Surviving are two daughters, Rita Amburgey, Willshire, and Nita (Randy) Habegger, Willshire; two brothers, Vernon Luginbill, Decatur, Ind., and Dean (Helen) Luginbill, Rockford; two sisters, Norma Jean (Charles) Fuson, Celina, and Mary Luginbill, Chattanooga; and two grandchildren.
Also deceased is a brother, Kenny Luginbill.
She was a homemaker.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, the Rev. Richard Larimore officiating. Burial is at St. Paul's United Church of Christ Cemetery in Rockford.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday and 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
