During the early morning hours, winds will increase ahead of an approaching low pressure. Wind gusts of 30 to 40 mph are expected through the afternoon. Some gusts up to 45 mph are possible at times. Winds decrease during the evening hours but remain elevated in the 20 to 25 mph range. Properly secure outdoor objects and seasonal decorations.

Edwin Wittenbrink
Edwin G. Wittenbrink, 91, died at 7:53 a.m. April 22, 2011, at the Golden Living Center-Valley, St. Marys.
He was born Sept. 18, 1919, in New Bremen to Charles and Anna Bruggeman Wittenbrink. On May 10, 1945, he married Brunhilda Egbert, who died Dec. 26, 2005.
Surviving is a daughter, Joann Boyer, New Bremen; a son, Thomas (Patricia) Wittenbrink, Wapakoneta; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a son, Dale Wittenbrink, a son-in-law, Barry Boyer, brothers, Walter and Henry Wittenbrink; and sisters, Amanda Kies, Irma Long and Edna Mohrman.
He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, New Bremen, and a member of the former Men's Brotherhood of the church. He farmed his entire life, was a 4-H adviser and bulk milk route driver and retired from Crown Equipment Corp., New Bremen, in 1982.
Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Becky Erb Strang officiating. Burial is at the German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.
Calling is 3-7 p.m. Tuesday at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
Memorials may be made to the church memorial fund.
