Ivo Topp
Ivo D. "Chico" Topp, 64, Fort Loramie, died at 5:19 p.m. May 20, 2011, at Heritage Manor Nursing Center, Minster.
He was born March 1, 1947, in Lima, to Frank and Elizabeth Shaffer Topp.
Surviving are a sister, Phyllis (John) Palmer, St. Charles, Mo.; and a brother, Randy Topp, Fort Loramie.
He retired from Marwell Products of Fort Loramie after 33 years service. He had worked at Precision Tool and Machine in New Bremen.
He played minor league baseball within the Philadelphia Phillies organization. He was a former member of the Eagles Lodge, Minster.
He served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home, New Bremen, the Rev. Becky Erb Strang officiating. Burial will follow in German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen, where graveside military honors will be conducted by American Legion Post 241, New Bremen.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Legion, New Bremen.
