The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for... Northwestern Auglaize County in west central Ohio... Mercer County in west central Ohio...
* Until 900 AM EDT.
* At 606 AM EDT, radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that may experience flash flooding include... Celina, St. Marys, Coldwater, New Bremen, Rockford, Wabash, Mendon, Chickasaw, Montezuma, Tama, Neptune, Carthagena, Bulkhead, State Route 116 at State Route 197, Chattanooga and Kossuth.

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
* WHERE...Portions of central and west central Ohio, including the following counties, in central Ohio, Delaware, Franklin, Licking, Madison and Union. In west central Ohio, Auglaize, Champaign, Clark, Darke, Hardin, Logan, Mercer, Miami and Shelby.
* WHEN...Until 2 PM EDT this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms will move across parts of the area this morning, possibly extending into early afternoon. This may result in bands of heavier rainfall that could lead to flash flooding.

Kenneth Schafer
Kenneth L. "Ace" Schafer, 61, Fort Loramie, died June 29, 2011, at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Sidney.
He was born Feb. 15, 1950, in Sidney, to Joseph A. and Esther E. Barlage Schafer. His mother survives.
Also surviving are a sister, Carol (Tom) Henke, Minster; a nephew, Joe Henke, Fort Loramie; and a niece, Jennifer (Jim) Weaver, Covington.
He was a 1968 graduate of Fort Loramie High School. He served with the U.S. Air Force National Guard during the Vietnam War. He was a farmer and worked at Larger Construction as a carpenter and later was self employed in construction.
He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Fort Loramie, the Fort Loramie American Legion Post and had been a member of the Yorkshire Goat Farmers.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. James McCabe officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Calling is 3-7 p.m. Monday and 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at Gehret Funeral Home, Fort Loramie.
Memorials may be made to Fort Loramie Rescue Squad.
