Areas of fog have developed across parts of west-central Ohio early this morning. The fog may be locally dense with visibilities less than one quarter of a mile at times. Motorists should be prepared for rapid changes in visibilities across short distances due to the patchy nature of the dense fog. Visibilities should improve by 9 AM EDT.

Mary Hertenstein
Mary Hertenstein, 83, rural St. Marys, died at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 8, 2011, at Otterbein St. Marys Retirement Community.
She was born Aug. 16, 1927, in Jefferson Township, to Don and Florence Glass Chivington. On Nov. 9, 1947, she married Harold "Lefty" Hertenstein, who died Oct. 28, 2008.
Surviving are five children, Craig (Katie) Hertenstein, St. Marys, Kristina (John) Yancik, West Alexandria, Jeffrey (Linell) Hertenstein, St. Marys, Jodi Hertenstein, St. Marys, and J. Douglas (Rachel) Hertenstein, St. Marys; two sisters, Wilma Chivington, Lexington, Ky., and Doris Chivington, St. Marys; three in-laws, Thomas Brodbeck, Archbold, Sue Chivington, Lima, and Robert Knatz, St. Marys; 11 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are siblings, L.D. Chivington and Anna Brodbeck.
A 1945 graduate of Memorial High School, St. Marys, she was a homemaker and assisted her husband in operating Kossuth Feed Mill for many years.
She was a member of Walnut Grove United Methodist Church and was a volunteer at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital.
Private family services will be held with burial in Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
