A 1939 issue of The Daily Standard described the new St. Paul Lutheran Church on St. Anthony Road as "Gothic style with a rambling Old English effect which blends with the natural rambling beauty of its setting. The windows are beautiful in their simplicity of design and beauty of color. The pipe organ lends dignity and grandeur to the service."
