Southerly winds will increase today ahead of an approaching cold front. Sustained winds of 15 to 25 mph can be expected with gusts of 35 to 45 mph at times this afternoon. Be sure to secure outdoor objects.

Joseph Werling
Joseph Edward Werling, 39, Fort Recovery, died Nov. 14, 2011, in Burkettsville.
He was born June 30, 1972, to Edward and Sally Kunk Werling, who survive in Burkettsville. On Nov. 24, 2000, he married Kendra Bergman, who survives.
Also surviving are daughters, Ava and Shayna Werling, at home; siblings, Mike (Julie) Werling, St. Henry, Carol (Mike) Broyles, Vandalia, Maria (Brad) Bubp, Piqua, Joan Werling, Burkettsville, Steve (Sarah) Werling, Troy, John (Julie) Werling, St. Henry, and Rose (Jason) Harrod, St. Henry; a mother-in-law, Karen Bergman, Yorkshire; in-laws, Brent (Holly) Bergman, Yorkshire, Shannon (Mike) Budde, Minster, and Brad (Jonica) Bergman, Yorkshire.
Deceased are two infant children, Isaiah and Noelle; a father-in-law, Don Bergman; and grandparents Ray and Emma Kunk and Albert and Eleanor Werling.
He was a 1991 graduate of St. Henry High School and a 1995 graduate of Wilmington College, where he was a member of the TKB fraternity and was captain of the football team his senior year.
He was vice president and plant manager of Werling & Sons, where he worked for 14 years. He was past president of the Ohio Association of Meat Processors and was serving on the board of directors. He was a past volunteer and first responder with the Burkettsville Fire Department.
He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, Burkettsville, where he belonged to the Holy Name Society and served as an usher.
A Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday and 9-9:45 a.m. Saturday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
