Rose Schoen
Rose M. Schoen, 100, Fort Recovery, died Jan. 29, 2012, at Briarwood Village, Coldwater.
She was born Nov. 8, 1911, in St. Henry, to Bernard and Catherine Gehle Heitkamp. On Nov. 8, 1933, she married Arnold Schoen, who died April 4, 1986.
Surviving are 12 children, Mary (Harvey) Thornton, Portland, Ind., Eileen (Carl) Barhorst, Fort Loramie, Janice (Harold) Hemmelgarn, Centerville, Patricia (Neil) Diller, Fort Recovery, Doris (Doug) Runyon, Sequim, Wash., Linda (Adrian) Noll, Celina, Marilyn (Eric) Greenrose, Dayton, Harold (Theresa) Schoen, Indianapolis, James (Mary Ann) Schoen, Kettering, Richard (Doris) Schoen, Palo Alto, Calif., Dan (Peg) Schoen, Fort Recovery, and Dave Schoen, Ansonia; a son-in law, Bill (Jane) Boeckman, Coldwater; a sister-in-law, Helen Heitkamp, Fort Recovery; 38 grandchildren; 94 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are daughter, Virginia Boeckman; 12 siblings, Joseph, Ray, Bernard, Clarence, Alphonse, Vincent and Melvin Heitkamp, and Mary Everman, Elizabeth Bruggeman, Bernadetta Heitkamp, Rita Post and Cecelia Kuntz; a daughter-in-law, Patricia Schoen; and four grandchildren.
She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Sharpsburg, and its Altar Rosary Sodality.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Calling is 1-6 p.m. Sunday and 9-9:45 a.m. Monday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
Memorials may be made to State of the Heart Hospice.
