Valerie Killion
Valerie "Joanie" Killion, 72, Coldwater, died Jan. 28, 2012, at home.
She was born Sept. 9, 1939, to Arthur and Evelyn Reed Mitchell. On June 16, 1963, she married Harold "Tony" Killion, who died in 2001.
Surviving are a daughter, Pam (Kevin) Thomas, Coldwater; a brother, Kenny Mitchell, Lima; and two grandchildren;
Deceased is a son, Terry Killion.
She was a graduate of Malinta Grelton High School and was employed as a bartender at New Bavaria VFW for more than 20 years. She was a member of the Defiance Moose.
Graveside service is 11 a.m. Tuesday at Forest Hill Cemetery, Napoleon, the Rev. Susan St. Peter officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to State of the Heart Hospice, Coldwater.
