* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, State Route 117 near Route 118 north of Rockford is water-covered and closed.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Donald 'Gene' Barna
Donald Eugene "Gene" Barna, 82, Rockford, died at 2:45 a.m. Feb. 23, 2012, at the Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford.
He was born March 12, 1929, to Sylvester and Julia Kaschak Barna. On Sept. 12, 1959, he married Sue Harmon, who survives in Rockford.
Also surviving are three children, Gino (Nancy) Barna, Port Clinton, Mark (Mary) Barna, Ohio City, and Lisa Perry, Rockford; two siblings, Bill (Madelyn) Barna, Louisville, Ky., and Betty Belna, Rockford; four grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and five stepgreat-grandchildren.
Deceased are three brothers, Ron, Dick and Bob Barna.
He was owner/manager of Barna's Cafe, Rockford. He and his wife owned Town & Country Nursing Home, Huntington, Ind. He was owner/operator of a poultry house on Tama Road. He retired from Huffy Bicycle Corp., Celina.
He served with the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Rockford American Legion and Celina VFW.
He was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church, Rockford.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, the Rev. James Seibert officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Rockford. Military honors will be conducted graveside by Rockford American Legion.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Sunday and one hour before services Monday at the funeral home.
