HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is possible. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Phyllis Ayres
Phyllis Hoblet Ayres, 84, died Feb. 27, 2012, at Laurels, Rockford.
She was born Dec. 15, 1927, in Willshire to Vernon and Wilma Strickler Hoblet. In 1975 she married Dr. R.W. Ayres, who is deceased.
Surviving are two children, Ted (Sandee) Bollenbacher, Rockford, and Karen Casey, Columbus; two grandchildren; a stepgrandson; two great-grandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
Deceased are an infant brother and a son-in-law, John Casey.
She was a 1946 graduate of Willshire High School, was owner/operator of Hoblet Insurance Agency and later worked in the insurance industry in Fort Wayne, Ind., Indianapolis and Van Wert.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Van Wert, where she served on the board of trustees and was a member of the choir. She was a member of the Isaac Van Wart Chapter of the National DAR, where she served as regent and other offices. She was a volunteer at the Niswonger Performing Arts Center.
Service and calling were held today. A private family graveside service will be at Riverside Cemetery, Rockford.
Memorials may be made to the church or the activity fund at Maplewood Assisted Living.
Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home and Crematory, Van Wert, is handling arrangements.
