Ellen Peters
Ellen F. Peters, 87, Ansonia, died March 9, 2012, at the Heartland of Greenville.
She was born Sept. 5, 1924, in Lightsville, to Charles S. and Nellie R. Davis Hopper. On Sept. 7, 1946, she married Paul B. Peters, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Robert L. (Donna) Peters, Ansonia, and Gene (Shelley) Peters, Arcanum; three sisters, Patricia L. (Ralph) Pottkotter, Celina, Myrna Detling, Liberty Township, and Carol (Jim) Hart, Bradford; a brother-in-law, Robert E. Matthews, Greenville; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Hopper, and a sister, Onda Matthews.
She was a homemaker, a rural mail carrier and a bus driver. She was a member of the 4-H in her youth and showed guernsey cattle for many years.
Services were 10:30 a.m. today at Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home, Greenville, Pastor Eric Fee officiating. Burial followed at Teegarden Cemetery, Ansonia.
Memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of Southwest Ohio, Beavercreek.
