Cyril Everman
Cyril G. Everman, 85, Maria Stein, died March 22, 2012, at his home.
He was born Nov. 9, 1926, in Maria Stein, to August and Anna Miller Everman. On Oct. 25, 1952, he married Wilma Hemmelgarn, who survives.
Other survivors are six children, Diane (Ernie) DeMange, Yorkshire, Marge (Phil) Weitzel, St. Henry, Ginny (Mark) Recker, Ottawa, Deb Harwood, Shelby, Connie (Gary) Giere, Versailles, and Jayme (Eric) Prasuhn, Ottawa; three sisters, Adeline Knapke, Versailles, Alfrieda Reichart, Maria Stein, and Wilma (Albert) Zumberger, Versailles; in-laws, Mary Everman, Andy Hemmelgarn, Teresa Steinbrunner and Mildred Hemmelgarn; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two sons, infant George Everman and Mark Everman; three brothers, Art, Bill and Rich Everman; two sisters, Armella Bruggeman and Clarine Broerman; in-laws, Albert Knapke, Ralph Reichert, Esther Everman, Loretta Everman, Leo Bruggeman and Leo Broerman; and two grandchildren.
He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, its Men's Sodality and Knights of St. John, all of Maria Stein, and the CK of A, Cassella. A 1944 graduate of the former St. John High School, he retired after a lifetime of farming.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 A.M. Monday at the church, the Rev. Kenneth Schroeder officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-7 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
