Charles Pax
Former Celina resident Charles "Charlie" Joseph Pax, 88, of Seneca, S.C., died June 24, 2012.
He was born March 19, 1923, in Celina, to Edmund and Frances Meyer Pax. On July 14, 1951, he married Ruby Catherine Subler, who survives.
Also surviving are two children, Joanie Marie Sanders, Fair Play, S.C., and Thomas (Gail) Pax, Ashburn, Va.; nine sisters, Mary Catherine Brunswick, Minster, Ruth Leugers, St. Marys, Norma Irvin, Cincinnati, Madonna Issen, Alabama, Bernadette Disk, Cincinnati, Florentina (Don) Cafferky, Fairfax, Rita Marie (Norman) Klosterman, Celina, Barbara Ann Geiser, Fostoria, and Edwina Frances (Gordon) Meyer, Dayton; a brother, LaVern (Shirley) Pax, Pickerington; and several grandchildren.
Deceased are a sister, Juanita Schinder; and four brothers, Richard, Vincent, Leonard and Charles Pax.
He formerly attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and Immaculate Conception School, Celina. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He sold insurance in St. Marys before moving to South Carolina.
Services and graveside rites with military honors took place in Seneca.
