Scattered snow showers will become more widespread through this afternoon and then likely linger into this evening before tapering off.
The snow showers will be capable of causing brief periods of reduced visibilities, especially this afternoon. In addition, brisk conditions will prevail with west winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range today.
Light snow accumulations will be possible, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. While roads will remain mostly wet during the daytime hours, some slick spots may develop toward sunset as temperatures begin to drop below freezing.
Please be prepared for the changing weather conditions today and the potential for reduced visibilities when driving.

Bernice Nietfeld
Bernice E. Nietfeld, 62, Fort Recovery, died Sept. 11, 2012, at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton.
She was born June 24, 1950, in Coldwater, to Julian Rammel and Edna Weitzel Rose. On Nov. 28, 1968, she married Cletus Nietfeld, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Jeff (Linda) Nietfeld, Fort Recovery; a daughter, Sandy (Rob) Kaiser, Fort Recovery; two sisters, Helen (Jim) Steinlage, St. Henry, and Diane Uhlenhake, St. Henry; four brothers, Jim (Jane) Rammel, Ralph (Bonnie) Rammel, Dave (Kim) Rammel and Roger (Marilyn) Rammel, all of Fort Recovery; and six grandchildren.
Also deceased are a stepfather, Luke Rose, and a brother-in-law, Jim Uhlenhake.
She graduated from Fort Recovery High School in 1968 and worked at Fort Recovery Industries. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joe, and its Altar Sodality.
Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, the Rev. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday and 9-10 a.m. Friday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
