Scattered snow showers will become more widespread through this afternoon and then likely linger into this evening before tapering off.
The snow showers will be capable of causing brief periods of reduced visibilities, especially this afternoon. In addition, brisk conditions will prevail with west winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range today.
Light snow accumulations will be possible, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. While roads will remain mostly wet during the daytime hours, some slick spots may develop toward sunset as temperatures begin to drop below freezing.
Please be prepared for the changing weather conditions today and the potential for reduced visibilities when driving.

Margaret Hawkey
Margaret M. Hawkey, 87, formerly of Celina, died at 4:30 p.m. Sept. 29, 2012, at Otterbein Senior Lifestyle Choices, St. Marys.
She was born June 25, 1925, in Celina, to Harry and Ica Miller Robbins. On Feb. 14, 1946, she married William Lloyd Hawkey, who died Feb. 25, 2007.
Surviving are her son, Phil (Susan) Hawkey, Yellow Springs; a daughter, Barbara (David) LaRoche, Celina; a brother, Junior (Helen) Robbins, St. Marys; a sister, Doris Severns, Mendon; a sister-in-law, Delores Robbins, Celina; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several stepgrandchildren.
Also deceased are an infant son, William Hawkey; a brother, Lloyd Robbins; two sisters, Evon Robbins and Fay Robbins; and a brother-in-law, Joe Severns.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina, where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She also worked at the Otis Hospital and Reynolds & Reynolds, Celina.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Kenneth Schnipke officiating. Burial will follow in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 3-7 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina.
Memorials may be given to the Ehlers-Danlos National Foundation.
