Celina East Elementary School students got an unexpected day off school today due to a water main break on Wayne Street in front of the school. Celina Safety Service Director Tom Hitchcock said the break was at a bad location, cutting off water to the school. City crews were busy early this morning working on the main; the break was fixed shortly after 9 a.m. City officials did not know how much water was lost but called it minimal. East Elementary parent teacher conferences will be held as scheduled tonight.
